1. What are cookies?

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary. Required for the Service to work, for example to keep you signed in securely and to protect against fraud. These do not require consent under UK/EU rules.

quotimiser-consent — your cookie/privacy preferences (localStorage)

Functional. Remember choices such as language or UI preferences where we offer them.

Analytics (optional). Help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it. We only enable these where you consent.

_ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4 cookies, used to distinguish users and sessions. Set only when you grant analytics consent. Data is anonymised (IP anonymisation enabled). Retention: up to 2 years. See Google's cookie policy.

Marketing (optional). Used for targeted advertising and measuring ad effectiveness. Only set with your consent.

3. Managing preferences

When you first visit our site, a cookie consent banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or customise your preferences. You can change your choices at any time:

Clear the quotimiser-consent item from your browser's localStorage to see the banner again.
Browser settings: block cookies globally or per-site (note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may break the Service).

4. Third-party services

Google Analytics — analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*), only with your consent.
Stripe — payment processing cookies during checkout. See Stripe's cookie settings.
Cloudflare — may set security cookies (e.g. __cf_bm) for bot protection. See Cloudflare's cookie policy.
