Cookie policy
Last updated: 31 March 2026
This page describes how Quotimiser uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and service.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a site. They help the site remember your session, preferences, and (with your consent) analytics or marketing features.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary. Required for the Service to work, for example to keep you signed in securely and to protect against fraud. These do not require consent under UK/EU rules.
quotimiser-consent— your cookie/privacy preferences (localStorage)
Functional. Remember choices such as language or UI preferences where we offer them.
Analytics (optional). Help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it. We only enable these where you consent.
_ga,_ga_*— Google Analytics 4 cookies, used to distinguish users and sessions. Set only when you grant analytics consent. Data is anonymised (IP anonymisation enabled). Retention: up to 2 years. See Google's cookie policy.
Marketing (optional). Used for targeted advertising and measuring ad effectiveness. Only set with your consent.
3. Managing preferences
When you first visit our site, a cookie consent banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or customise your preferences. You can change your choices at any time:
- Clear the
quotimiser-consentitem from your browser's localStorage to see the banner again. - Browser settings: block cookies globally or per-site (note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may break the Service).
4. Third-party services
- Google Analytics — analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*), only with your consent. - Stripe — payment processing cookies during checkout. See Stripe's cookie settings.
- Cloudflare — may set security cookies (e.g.
__cf_bm) for bot protection. See Cloudflare's cookie policy.
5. Updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in technology or law. Check the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
