Terms and conditions
Last updated: 31 March 2026
These terms govern your use of Quotimiser ("the Service"), operated by us. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Quotimiser provides tools to create quotes and invoices and related features as described on our website and in your subscription plan. We may update or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans are billed via our payment provider (Stripe) in GBP. Fees, billing cycles, and trial terms are shown at checkout and on the pricing page. You may cancel in line with your plan and Stripe's terms; access may continue until the end of the paid period.
3a. Payment tools for clients
Quotimiser includes optional payment-related features to help you collect payment from your clients:
- Bank transfer details: you can store your bank account details under Settings > Payments. These details will be shown on your invoice PDFs and the secure client portal so your clients can pay by bank transfer. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the bank details you provide and for reconciling any payments received.
- Pay by Bank (Stripe Connect): you may connect your own Stripe account so clients can pay issued invoices via Stripe's Pay by Bank on the invoice portal. Quotimiser does not charge a separate fee for this feature; Stripe charges its own processing fees on successful payments (see Stripe's published UK pricing for Pay by Bank, which may change). Funds are paid to your connected Stripe account according to Stripe's payout schedule. You are responsible for completing Stripe onboarding, reviewing Stripe fees before enabling payments, complying with Stripe's terms, and handling refunds and account issues through Stripe.
Quotimiser is not a payment institution. We do not hold, process, or transmit client funds. You remain solely responsible for issuing accurate invoices, resolving payment disputes, and complying with all relevant financial and tax obligations.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to harm others;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data;
- reverse engineer or scrape the Service except as permitted by law;
- upload malware or content you do not have rights to use.
5. Your content
You retain rights to quotes, invoices, and data you enter. You grant us a licence to host, process, and display that content as needed to run the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your business and client information.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that outputs are suitable for every regulatory or tax situation. You remain responsible for your own pricing decisions and compliance.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period (or £50 if none).
8. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
